In social studies, we are reading a book called Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes. We have groups with a summarizer, an illustrator, a discussion director, a connector and a predictor. Sadako is a girl that lives in Japan. In the first chapter she was really excited to go to Peace Day, and in the second chapter she went to the Peace Day festival and she cared more about the festival than about her relatives that died the atom bomb.
