We have been studying Native Americans. We learned that the Plains Native Americans used every part of the buffalo. They were not wasters. Different places around North America had different homes because of the natural resources around them. They took buffalo skulls and faced them toward the sun to honor the buffalo spirit. The Native Americans used buffalo skins for clothes. Taylor, Tryston, Naomi, Morgan, Breanna and Colby

This year the school is doing something called Toys for Tots. It's when students bring in a new unwrapped toy and put it in a big box and the Marine Corps brings those toys to a factory and wraps them and gives them to children in need, and we get to go shopping with them. Sergeant Jones, a teacher at HCS, came and talked to us about it. We learned to help children in need and make them feel good and get something for Christmas. We also made trains and they are in a big area in school. Morgan, Ethan N. and Makayla
