We moved our desks when we did a practice for our state tests. We did four stories and we had a practice answer sheet and we had 45 minutes to do it and it was an incredibly fun time. Heather

In music, we are making puppets for our pioneer puppet plays, and now we are starting to make songs. There were about five songs we had to choose from and we had to make up our own words and used the same tune. Taylor
In art, we are making these animals and we already got halfway through with them. People are fixing them up and decorating them. Tryston
In math, we are looking at liters and milliliters. We learned how many milliliters are in one liter (1,000) and we got a tub and filled it with water, but it didn't really work because it had a leak in it. Ethan N.
In orchestra, we were given another song that is also two pages long and it is called Crossing Pirates Cove and it has a few new notes. The notes are smaller and there are more lines and the lines are thinner so there are more lines. The lines are shorter so there are more lines and that makes it harder and peoples' arms get tired. In beginner's orchestra, we figured out or songs for the concert and there is one cool song named Can-Can. The song is not the easiest because the song makes you play one string and make you switch strings with a different finger. Colby
In writing, we are making Native American posters and we had to pick three out of the four subjects and they were boarding schools, buffalo, reservations and the environment. We learned that Native Americans had trouble with the government and that we need to help them and not kill buffalo. Morgan and Naomi

We wrote persuasive essays to Mr. Ellis about the cafeteria atmosphere. Some of our letters were about not enough food, an activity center, music and more time in lunch. Yesterday we saw a video about people doing good things and one of them was paralyzed and had no legs and was helping other people get their food and he fed it to them. There was this girl who loved animals and she was collecting things for animals and then donating them to the animal shelter. A guy made a wave of money and gave $1,000 each day to people to help their community. Taylor and others
A few days ago we went down to the second grade classrooms and we checked out their Flat Stanley posters. They were awesome. They made a state or a country where their Flat Stanley traveled to and they made a Flat Stanley and dressed it all up to show what they were wearing and the weather at that place.
